Increase width of Legend Markers

The first chart shows the legend entries at their normal size. The only way to increase the size of the legend marker is to increase the font size of the legend entry text.

But if you add a dummy series to the chart and change it's chart type to a line the legend markers are stretched to fill the same width space as the line marker. You can format the lines border colour to match legends background and resizing the legend if you want to retain the border.
